Grassy Key
After spending last night in Key West, we decided to head back up the keys since not visiting Dry Tortuga National Park. When we were driving down I had seen what looked like a very cool water front RV park called Grassy Key Resort. Even though it was only about an hour north, we decided to stay there. Since it was a bit pricier, we checked in at about 1 giving us time to really enjoy the amazing view. Was the 1st spot we pulled into like a regular car and the view was out the front window.
As usual, we made our salads first thing and took them out to the waterfront palapa about 20′ directly in front of where we were parked 🙂 Spent the afternoon on chaise lounges in the sun reading and relaxing and loved it. While the temp was low 80’s the breeze coming off the Gulf of Mexico kept us very comfortable.
We walked to a restaurant a bit down the beach for dinner and had veggie burgers 🙂 One of the houses we passed had this adorable mailbox.
