Our 1st Florida Sunrise 🙂

Yesterday we had the alarm set for 3 am for our 4 am shuttle pick up.  That did not keep me from waking up at 1 am 🙂 Too excited to sleep I imagine.

Our shuttle driver, Adam was there 10 minutes early which set the tone for the day.  When he asked where we going and we shared, he told us he had driven back and forth across the country 9 times!!!!  He loves seeing the country and especially the Oregon Coast which he plans to do again this summer.  If you are local, highly recommend Carlsbad Caravan!!!

Perfect timing on getting to the airport and all 4 of huge suitcases we checked were exactly 50 pounds or less.  Kevin had been rearranging things for days to get the max stuffed in.  Easy check in, boarding with no wait.  Since we booked our flight so late, we did not have seats next to each other.  At check in decided it never hurts to ask and did get seats together.  Remember the worst anyone can say is no and what if they say yes! Changed planes in Minneapolis St Paul where it was raining and again,  just enough time to grab a quick lunch and board our next plane.  Got to both locations ahead of time.

In Orlando, Bill, our driver from La Mesa RV, pulled up right as we walked out of the terminal. Great guy and has RV’ed for 18 years and had owned a Prevost! Shared RV stories all the way to our hotel. We passed over a huge lake which Bill said had the highest number of alligators per foot of any lake in Florida!  Did not see anyone in the water 🙂
