Tuesday we drove from the KOA Campground in Madeira Beach to the KOA in Naples/Fort Myers.  Thanks to those of you who suggested getting the Annual Pass and the cost was less than $22 and saved $9 the 2nd night.

We headed out for De Soto National Memorial after checking out at Madeira Beach. The drive took us across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge across the wide opening of Tampa Bay.  I am a huge bridge fan and this one was very fizzy.

     

Got a stamp in our National Park Passport Book at the De Soto National Memorial.  Was a beautiful location and had lunch in the rig before going in.  Lots to be said for being self sustained.

 

After leaving we headed for our spot at KOA Naples. After the tight squeeze the night before in Madiera Beach, Naples was a pull through spot. Good thing because it was really tight. We decided to try out our washer and dryer for the first time. We had heard lots of negative reviews about them being almost worthless and had thought in the future we might take out and replace with storage. They worked great and we love them. Have been doing a load about every other day since.

We also, well Kevin actually, flushed the grey and black tanks for the first time and another success. We are having fun learning how to do everything and having lots of firsts!  We also used our Walkie Talkies for the 1st time today and they worked great.

Wednesday morning got up and decided to head to Everglades National Park.  We had another 1st this morning – stopping to get gas.  Love diesel here was $1.99 which is great when you a 100 gallon tank 🙂  Fund a route which also took us to Big Cypress National Preserve, the 1st in the National Park System and got our passport stamped!  Bought some postcards and asked if they sold stamps which they did not.  The ranger directed us to what is believed to be the tiniest post office in US a couple of miles away.
